Phra Somdej Phim Prok Pho Unblossomed Lotus Figure
Wat Mahathat in Nakhon Si Thammarat
Every now and then we are able to find a couple of these rare figures. These are made of either bronze or iron, I think bronze because they don't ever seem to rust. They are Phra Somdej Toh amulets called, "Phim Prok Pho." It is a representation of Siddharthat Gautama (Buddha) sitting in meditation under the Bodhi tree filled with leaves above his head. This is the tree he became enlightened under.
