Keys to Natural Truth is a book by Buddhadasa Bhikkhu translated for us into English by Santikaro Bhikkhu, a student of Buddhadasa’s at Suan Mokkh in 1988. This book is all about Dhamma as the greatest gift. “Dhamma exists to help us live in the world victoriously above the world.”
Buddhadasa was a monk who revived the forest tradition in southern Thailand when nobody else was doing so. Ajahn Chah did it in the northeast and Ajahn Buddhadasa did it from his forest temple in Chaiya subdistrict of Suratthani called “Suan Mokkhabalaram” or just “Suan Mokkh.”
Wat Suan Mokkh is where the International Dhamma Hermitage is located for foreign and Thai meditators to take 10-day silent meditation retreats. It’s actually across the highway and down a country road for 1 km. Thousands of people from across the globe have come to experience this life-changing meditation retreat.
This book is full of wisdom about Dhamma and what it means in Buddhism. It covers how Dhamma can be used in our lives and the importance it has in our own lives and in the world around us.
