Stone Carved Guanyin Bodhisattva Amulet with 1000 heads and hands
This is a very unique Guanyin amulet, one we’ve never seen anything like. If you travel to Sri Lanka, you may see something like it. We found this amulet at the Nakhon Si Thammarat “Wat Mahathat” temple about a year ago. We had seen it over the course of two years, and we think it was priced too high for Thais to buy it. It was almost too high for us to buy it too, and we didn’t know if we could sell it or not. This Guanyin amulet is made of stone of some sort.
The detail on this stone-carved Guanyin is exquisite. When we finally did ask the seller at the temple to pull this out so we could look closely, we bought it immediately.
It’s rare that we find such a gem in Thailand, as not many Thais are in the habit of visiting Sri Lanka to buy good stone-carved Guanyin amulets!
The owner of this amulet told us he tried to talk the monks at the temple in Sri Lanka down to a lower price, but they would not discount it. It is really a work of art.
Bid with confidence, this is a one-of-a-kind Guanyin you will likely never see anywhere, ever. We could not find a similar amulet after hours of searching Google for one.
If the price on this Guanyin is outside your means, have a look at our other stone-carved Guanyin from Sri Lanka – HERE. The design is similar, the color is different. There is no two-toned color on this other less expensive Guanyin.
