This is our most lavish Ganesh amulet. The Ganesh is
tri-colored - a holy feature whereby an amulet is colored with gold, silver (or
often white), and a copper color. This too is a brand new amulet that went live
on 11/17. The Ganesh is a very important symbol (God) in India, and the Thai
people have adopted it as well. There are manya brand new gold Ganesh (elephant) amulet (11/08).
The Ganesh is a traditionally important figure for India but the Thais have
adopted this symbol as well and wear them often as amulets. This is a very
bright amulet that was difficult to take a photo of - as are all the gold
amulets we carry. As a result I need to photograph them in the shade - and cut
the shutter down to be able to get the finite details in the Ganesh.
The handmade case is 18K gold and brilliant in the sun.
Impossible to take a proper photo of in sunshine. You'll understand when you
receive your Ganesha amulet if you order it.
The last time I was at the temple they had (4) of these
jeweled Ganesh amulets.
