| In 1975 Ajarn Jumnien founded Wat Tum Sua - Tiger
Cave Temple in southern Thailand, Krabi province. This is fast becoming
the most famous temple in the south due to Ajarn Jumnien traveling the
world and spreading the word about Buddhism, and Vipassana meditation
techniques. These temple bells are made on
site by the monks and are very rare - they just started offering them to
the public. In the past these bells were used to decorate the temple and
weren't for sale. I'll add some photos of the bells at the top of the
mountain by the shrines.
The part that catches the wind is in the shape of
a Bodhi tree leaf. The writing is simply asking for first name, last
name, Date of birth, Day of Birth and year of birth. In the past these were not for sale and so they used them
for people at the temple to fill out the information and make a donation
to the temple. They would then place the bells at the temple in various
places. The temple is building a very large Chedhi - and that is
featured on this bell.
There were only 3 bells left by the time I got to
the temple and I immediately bought all three. We have them in stock -
so, if you want one just order below. We don't know if or when they will
make more, so if you want one this may be the first/last opportunity.
Actually I didn't think of this before - but, we'd like to keep one for
ourselves - so there are only 2 left!
*10% of
all sales goes back to Wat Suan Mokkh in the form of a donation.
